- Kay B. Forest - Dr. Forest retired from NIU in July 2008. She continues to live in Sycamore, Illinois.
- Clinton Jesser - Dr. Jesser is still teaching at NIU through External Programming. He continues his interest in gender and in spear-heading men’s intentional support groups. He is also an active member of the DeKalb Interfaith Network for Peace and Justice.
- David Kamens - Dr. Kamens is currently living in Washington D.C., where he continues to write and enjoy retirement. Among his recent papers is a co-authored work with Charles L. Cappell, titled “The Political Cultural Field of Institutional Trust & the 2000 Presidential Vote,” presented at the 2006 annual meeting of the American Sociological Association, Montreal Convention Center, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

- David Luckenbill retired from NIU in December 2007. He continues to live in the DeKalb area.
- Bill McCready - Dr. McCready is living in Oak Park, Illinois. He is working for Knowledge Networks.

- Herb Rubin - Dr. Rubin is still living in DeKalb. The latest edition of his book (with co-author Irene Rubin) Qualitative Interviewing: The Art of Hearing Data was published in 2005. The fourth edition of Community Organizing and Development will be published in 2008. When he and Irene are not traveling, he continues to be active in local politics, including as chair of the DeKalb County Housing Action Coalition and as chair of the Economic Development Committee, City of DeKalb.

- Harold Smith - Dr. Smith is still living in DeKalb. The second edition of his book (with co-authors Gayla S. Nieminen and May Kyi Win) Historical Dictionary of Thailand, was published in 2005.

- Jim Thomas - Dr. Thomas continues to teach at NIU as adjunct professor. He also teaches at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Thomas remains active in the NIU chapter of the American Correction Association, among other pursuits. Dr. Thomas' website
