Scholarly Interests: Issues surrounding race relations in this country are among the most serious problems that we are carrying into the 21st century. By acknowledging & clarifying this often painful reality, our society can come up with strategies for dealing with difference. Sociology is an important tool with which we can examine racialized institutions and create approaches that can help ensure that all people have access to valued opportunities and resources.
